...Not a big fan of roses. I never really have been. I don't know if it's the fact that they're semi cliche or if I just really really do not like them. Yellow roses...yellow roses I like, they're pretty and they are rare but so wonderful. Friendship.
Growing up, all sides of the house were always full of flowers and vast arrays of foliage. Wildflowers, Tulips, Black Eyed Susans-amazingly beautiful flowers that spring up from the ground like clockwork each and every year. Spring. Even when it wasn't spring, I remember coloring flowers of all sorts. Every kind I could imagine, whether they were real or not, flowers I would draw. Most of them looked like Carnations-or Daisys. I loved Carnations. I loved Daisys. Still do. I know they are often considered wild flowers-or a weed even-but still, they are absolutely my favorite flower. These flowers make me smile. These flowers remind me of home. These flowers are so simple, but so so complex. These flowers last-much longer than roses. These flowers that some consider 'homely' or 'not romantic' are my flowers-these flowers are beautiful to me. These flowers, are my favorite.
