Apparently, this lil' guy has been swimming around for five years upside down. HOW COOL!
This makes me miss mon petit poisson.
The owner, like any of us would, first thought he was dead, until he flicked the glass and he moved. Lil Horatio the Japanese coldwater fish, enjoys to swim belly up but turns upright to paddle up to eat. The owner named his goldfish Horatio after Lord Nelson because he married his wife Diane, 62, on Trafalgar Day. (Traflagar Day: 'the celebration of the victory won by Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson's British fleet over the combined French and Spanish fleets at the Battle of Trafalgar on 21 October 1805.' Thank you wikipedia). Horatio always floats under a spot in the take where air bubbles are (more oxygen). The owner has two theories: 1-Constipation 2-The roots of this fish are from Australia and he can't tell which way is really up. Fish experts dispute these and say he has something wrong with his 'swim bladder'.
