so long farewell to you my friend.

Listening to: Allison Krause 'New Favorite'

I sold yankee candles all through high school in a store. Lets just say while other high schoolers and college students might come home smelling of grease or smoke, I came home smelling as fresh as newly clean laundry. Literally (Linen). Or a baked pie (Farmhouse Apple).
Long story short, I like candles-but not all. I have favorites (don't tell anyone). All time favorite-Pineapple Paradise. So good. I can't even explain the goodness of this candle. So many memories come back to me.
This sounds ridiculous but this candle and this candle alone puts me in a good mood. No matter the place, time, situation; Pineapple paradise does justice to it's own name. Paradise indeed. Perfect in every way. I won't even describe the wonderfulness of the smells this compact jar of wax puts off because there simply is not enough room in this entire blog.
They have retired Pineapple paradise. I've known this for a little over two years now, so I've been collecting votives, large jars, small jars, medium jars, oils, tarts, tea lights, anything...I am at my wits end. I've searched the country over...no more paradise. No more good memories. No more happiness. Story of my life.
I would light the wick of a Pineapple Paradise in a time like this...but I am conserving the last little bit for something so severe that chocolate, large rubber green balls, The National, or Gilmore Girls would not be able to fix.
